Ok, I'm going to try to have some fun with the NFL season this year. Fantasy football is not really my jam, and anyway I don't know any leagues that I could join this year. So, I'm just gonna pick and see what my record is at the end of the year. Here we go.

Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers

I dunno who's gonna win this one, as I haven't really watched a lot of the Texans this year. Mario Williams is waking up and playing some good D for the Texans, but last week they played the crappy Chiefs. As much as I hope the Panthers lose, being in the Saint's division, I gotta believe Steve Smith will lead his team to a win in their home opener. Panthers to win.

Cincinnati at Cleveland

Please. Cincy to win.I'd put money on them if the spread was 50 points.

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans

I am biased here. I would love to see that Indy is the best team in the NFL bar-none, and that's why they destroyed my beloved Saints so convincingly. The problem is, VY. I was a doubter, I thought Vince Young was just too dumb to play well in the NFL. Turns out athleticism trumps intelligence, even at the QB position. This dude just makes plays. Still, I gotta go with Indy - although it may be closer than you might think.

New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I gotta be a homer here. I doubt I have it in me to pick against the Saints all year, but here I really think they'll win. They got creamed in Indy, but I think that was just one of those games. Every team has them, just nothing went right. I still think the Saints have the best team they've probably ever had in their history, and they'll at least make the play-offs this year. Garcia will be tough, he's crafty, but they have a banged up Cadillac Williams and the Saints will be pissed. Saints to win.

San Francisco 49ers at St. Louis Rams

The 49ers didn't look too great in their win over the Cardinals last week, but the Rams got all kinds of banged up. They lost Orlando Pace - that's enough for me to go with Gore and the Niners. 49ers to win.

Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers

A lot of people are picking the Bills on this one. They should have won against the Broncos and let that one slip away. Still, I gotta go with the Steelers. Hines Ward will be a bit faster with that $5k gone from his wallet. Steelers to win.

Green Bay Packers at New York Giants

I'm still convinced that Favre will get sacked and just explode into dust in one of these games, but then again, Manning has a sore shoulder and is a game-time decision. I'm gonna go with the pack on this one. Packers to win.

Atlanta Falcons at Jacksonville Jaguars

Without Vick and playing in hostile territory, I'm going with the Jags here. Jaguars to win.

I'll pick the evening games tomorrow. Night!
